The course enables the students to learn at a pace that is convenient to them. The material is comprehensive and developed with great care to ensure phased learning. Every module has been developed keeping in mind the various patterns and question types that have appeared over several years. Developed by experts, the study material coherently helps the student develop the skills required in different areas. The large number of practice exercises create test conditions and also provide vital practice. These exercises are supplemented by detailed explanations.
In addition, there is a Study Plan made by our experts and included as a part of the Course Material (SM100941 to SM100944). This Study Plan helps you pace your preparation properly.
Basic Study Material
Our material is comprehensive and designed to help the students grasp the subject matter in all the test areas, viz., Quantitative Aptitude, Data Interpretation, Data Sufficiency, Logical Reasoning, Verbal Ability, Verbal Reasoning and Reading Comprehension. Therefore students who go through the material diligently and practice regularly will be able to deal with all the common patterns of questions. Our material is designed to help the students build their speed and accuracy consistently over a period of time.
Test papers and Practice exercises:
Students can test themselves with the number of exhaustive tests that we provide in our material. Taken over a period of time, these tests help the students assess their strengths and weaknesses and identify areas for improvement. This is extremely important in building confidence and reducing stress and exam-fear in students. It is, however, important to note that after every test, the student has to analyze where he or she requires to put in effort (in which areas and in what type of problems).
AIMCATs
We at T.I.M.E. believe that the best way to test one’s abilities is in the simulated environment of the AIMCATs (All India Mock CATs).The All India MOCK CATs (AIMCATs) are exceptional tools devised by T.I.M.E. for candidates serious about the CAT.
Every one of these tests is specially designed, with question combinations that cover all the test areas and various question types that have appeared in the CAT over the years particularly in the recent past. You would answer the AIMCATs on OMR sheets as in the actual CAT. The sheets are scanned and the results are made available on our website. This is followed by a detailed analysis of the exam and every student’s performance. This helps you compare yourself against the others in the arena. There is detailed analysis carried out for every AIMCAT.
The AIMCATs’ schedule with details of date and venue will be communicated to the students. The schedule will also be made available on the Student Home Page of our website, www.time4education.com. At the time of enrolment, the student will be given the option of receiving the AIMCATs at his residence (through courier/post) or taking them at a centre of his/her choice (out of the centres where T.I.M.E. conducts AIMCATs). The student can specify his/her option on the “AIMCAT Centre Option sheet” given to him/her alongwith the enrolment form (click
here to view the list of all the centres where T.I.M.E. conducts AIMCATs).
OMETs (Other Management Entrance Tests for the Tests of Institutes other than CAT):
Students would apply to many institutes like XLRI (XAT), FMS, IITs (JMET), etc. that do not accept CAT scores for their selection process. These institutes conduct their own entrance tests. Therefore students would have to prepare keeping in mind the patterns of these tests. T.I.M.E., as a part of the preparation for such entrance tests would be providing the students with OMETs.
OMETs provide additional practice and deal with areas that other institutes would test. Management entrance exams have different types of questions and every year there are variations in patterns. The OMETs provide the student a chance to get used to these variations and face any question pattern confidently. Correspondence students will receive the OMETs material in the last week of November just before the CAT.
Magazine - MBA Education & Careers:
A student preparing for the tests of Indian Institutes must keep abreast of national and international events. Some written tests (the CAT does not have a section on General Awareness) have a section devoted to questions on Current events and Business Awareness. Moreover the GD & PI process includes students' opinions and ideas on relevant current issues. Again, the fact that last minute study is not a reality, spreading this over the period of the course enables the student to be more aware and attuned to all the facets of the selection process. "ME&C" is a T.I.M.E. publication aimed at providing students with significant information in the form of company profiles, ideas from prominent people in various fields. In addition to these, there are articles on current affairs, quizzes and reviews that are aimed at improving the skills of the students.
