PGCET(MBA) is the entrance test for the admission to MBA Course offered by institutions in Karnataka.
PGCET(Post Graduate Common Entrance Test) is usually conducted in July/August every year.
The Karnataka PGCET–2011 was conducted on 7th August, 2011 under the supervision of Karnataka Examination Authority(KEA) for
determining the merit list of Karnataka and Non-Karnataka candidates for admission to
Master of Business Administration (MBA) course. This is an offline paper based test.
Admissions are based on the performance of a student in the written test of PGCET.
Eligibility for Full-Time MBA Course:
Admission to Master of Business Administration course shall be open for the candidates who have passed the
Bachelor Degree examination with not less than fifty percent of the marks in the aggregate of all the years of the d
egree examinations. However, in the case of candidates from Karnataka belonging to SC/ST and Category-I, the aggregate percentage of marks of all the years of the qualifying examinations shall not be less than forty-five percent.
Karnataka candidates are eligible for both government seats (i.e. 100% seats in Government colleges & University Departments and 50% of total intake in Private Unaided Institutions) and Management seats ( i.e. seats other than Government seat) surrendered by Private Unaided Institutions. Non-Karnataka candidates are eligible for those seats available against management seats (Category B seats) of Private Unaided Institutions.
