XAT (Xavier Aptitude Test) is the second most popular management entrance exam in India after CAT. XAT is conducted by XLRI (Xavier Labour Research Institute), Jamshedpur, which is one of the Top 10 B-schools in the country. In addition to XLRI, there are more than 70 management institutes that consider XAT score as one of the criteria for admission into their management programmes. Candidates have to first register online for XAT on their website (http://www.xlri.edu/xat/) and later apply separately to the institutes associated with XAT, including XLRI. Based on XAT scores, candidates will be short listed for the next round of admission process. Institutes conduct Group discussion and/or Interviews for final short listing of the candidates.
