While the participants were asked to report at the venue at 0900 Hrs, the eager participants had started converging right from 0730 and by 0800 there was a veritable mob at the venue.

On a day when the mercury was on its way up, the atmosphere inside the auditorium was absolutely scorching. After a power-packed written elimination round, the six teams that made it to the stage were:

1. Sanjay Public School: Mehul Kumar and Rajeev Khandelwal
2. Tagore Public School: Shivann Singh and Sachin Tiwari

It must be mentioned here that the team from Sanskar school was an all–girl team, a rarity. They were received very warmly on the stage with a round of deafening applause.

There were five teams that were tied for the final place on the stage and this was resolved by a tie-breaker.

The finals were a treat to watch, with students at the edge of their seat right from the word go. Sanskar School were team number one and they set the Jaipur city finals off to a cracking start by cracking their first direct question. From here the tone was set and Sanskar ended the round a close second to Sanjay Public School.

Sanjay Public school had a roller coaster ride in the quiz, going to first to third in the second round and then back up to first by the end of round five!

There was intense and healthy rivalry between both the teams from St Anselm’s. While the Mansarovar team got off to a poor start, being sixth at the end of round one. They recovered smartly to claim the second spot at the end of round two and to spot one at the end of round three.

At the end of round five the St. Anselm’s Mansarovar was second, with Sanjay Public at the top, Seedling Public School was third and St. Anselm’s Pink City was placed fourth.

With a gap of only 28 points separating the four teams and over 100 points up for grabs in the high intensity rapid fire round, anything could happen. There was nail-biting tension and participants needed to take a comfort break just before the start of this round! In this round the entire standings went for a toss and the aggression of St Anselm’s Pink City paid off!

At the end of round six St. Anselm’s Pink City were the Winners of the Jaipur city finals with St. Anselm’s Mansarover coming in a close second and Sanjay Public coming in third.
