BITSAT - A Premier Engineering Entrance Exam
BITSAT is a computer based online test for Admission to Graduation programs in Engineering of BITS(Birla institute of Technology and Science) Campuses in Pilani, Goa and Hyderabad. The competition for this exam is very intense. In 2014, around 1.8 lakh aspirants appeared for BITSAT for around 2,000 seats available in various BE (Hons.) programmes in BITS. The competition keeps getting tougher each year.
BITSAT Application Form and Online Registration:
BITSAT aspirants should register their names for BITSAT-2015 by filling the application form online. They should also take the print out of the filled form for future reference.

BITSAT Application Fee structure:
BITSAT 2015 Application Fee: Rs. 2090/-(Rs.1590/- for female candidates)
For Dubai centre: US $ 50 for male & female candidates both (Approx Rs. 3150/-)
The filled application along with the DD of the application fee must reach the university office before February 20, 2015 (upto 5 pm).

BITSAT is a 3 hour exam without breaks.
The test consists of four parts:
Part I : Physics
Part II : Chemistry
Part III : (a) English Proficiency and (b) Logical Reasoning
Part IV : Mathematics (For B.E & B. Pharm candidates) or Biology (For B. Pharm candidates)
All questions are of objective type (multiple choice questions); each question with choice of four answers, only one being correct choice. Each correct answer fetches 3 marks, while each incorrect answer has a penalty of 1 mark.
Unattempted questions are given zero marks. There will be 150 questions in the BITSAT paper. The number of questions in each part is as follows:

There are no sectional time limits in BITSAT exam. The candidate can freely go back and change any of his/her answers among the 150 questions.
If a candidate answers all the 150 questions (without skipping any question), the candidate will have an option of attempting 12 (twelve) bonus questions, if there is still time left. These extra questions will be from Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics/Biology only; four questions from each part. Further, once the candidate has opted for extra questions, he cannot go back for correction of any of the earlier answered 150 questions.
