Hi,i have been scoring on an average b/w 90-95% with ocassional 97's.
please tell me if i stand a realistic chance to get a call from the iim's.
i would appreciate if you give an honset opinion rather than an optimistic one .if yes then how would i manage to achieve that within 20 days
and if no what should i do
rahul:
The exp score in CAT should be higher than the AIMCAT score. How much is very difficult to predict. At your level it should add 1-2 %ile points. So a chance yes, if you are at your best

Good evening sir, i've scored consistently in last 10 AIMCATS in the 80-90 range. but in 1003, my %ile dropped to 45.67. m very depressed bout this. my univ. exams are from 10-21nov. so i have to pause my CAT prep durin that period. i was planning to apply for IMT-G, BIMTECH, IFMR, FORE, NIRMA, MICA, IISWBM,LBSIM, Christ etc. shal i go ahead with my plan or shud i look for other colleges?
pranav:
do not worry too much about one exam. You should apply to some higher ranked colleges too.

sir is it worth applying to SITM if i want to go for finance. I saw in the website they have 2 specialisation marketing-finance and system-marketing.
And also how is SIMS ? shud i go for it. if u could mention any other SNAP inst. from my scores.
My last few aimcats prcentiles: 44, 64, 15, 22, 73, 85, 59, 28, 50
10th: 80.62
12th: 75.3

only 20 days left. what shud be the strategy to crack va section?
pcr:
I hope you're keeping up with preparation - reading and practical application of grammar vocab and reasoning through your reading. When it comeds to strategy - Get an idea of the contents of the section (while doing so, answer VA questions that you find easy and are absolutely sure of). Return to the questions through review mode and tackle the ones you are better prepared for first. Pick the RC passages in the order that you want to try them. Most important, don’t get stuck on a question. If it’s taking you too long (say, more than double the time you normally take) move on. Come back to it later if you have the time. All the best
|

you should keep the buffer time.Use it to improve scores on section(s) which you havent done well. If you done well in all sections, use the buffer time to maximise your overall scores ie by using that time to answer the easiest / your favourite section
