alex_mahone: Just for the reason that the IIFT cutoffs have shot up this time,TIME has predicted a score of 80+ for JMET?Isnt this unreasonable considering the fact that the cutoffs were 84+ for last year for a much easier paper..??
saikumar: Alex dont make assumptions about our motive for putting the cutoff for IITB at 80. We go by a lot of parameters and that points to a high scoring JMET paper. You should not forget that IITB gives calls only to the Top 350 students and the top 350 will certainly score heavily in this paper. regarding IIFT - there is still NO official word of the cut-offs. We have seen students with 30 marks getting calls! Unless and until IIFT discloses the call criteria in a transparent manner we will not known what happened behind the scenes at IIFT. It seems that they had given weightage to work-ex and issued the calls.
