kk: Need to review the AIM CATs and check why you are missing out on the qns that you could have done. If you find that you have missed some 4-5 qns in each area, then preparation is not the issue. Your approach while taking the test needs review. Suggest you meet the key faculty at your centre with your AIM CAT scores and discuss this

I started preparing last week and i feel what i have covered this one week is more than what i did from Jan. In AIMCATs, quant seems to be a major problem. Have cleared cutoff in the rest. kk: Yes, three months is sufficient if you plan your schedule and then stick to it. Complete all the major chapters in QA, then use the book SM 101011 and then the TPB on QA. Then, take up the AIM CATs and go through the questions topic wise. ie spend 2/3 days (assuming that you spend time on other test areas during these two days) on say 'numbers' in AIM CATs. If you are not able to crack some of the doable qns, review your basics. At the end of these 2/3 days you should feel confident about the chapter. Then, when you do further mocks, you should be able to tackle qns from numbers. If not, review basics again

kk: Geometry is a key area. Do not drop that chapter at any cost. First attend sessions on Geometry, if possible with 2 batches so that you get a revision. Then try SM 101011. Then fix an appointment with a faculty at yr centre and have a personal sitting to clear the issues yoiu have.

mkl: Sir i do RC's in PP format quite well but i face to much prob on reading the rc's and answering them . ALL Though i read many text on computer like , newspapers and other matter. Wat to do ???
kk: The issues are (a) are you comfortable reading from the computer and (b) are you comprehending what you are reading. For example, say you read an article on the online edition of a newspaper. Would you be able to tell your friend the gist of what the article was all about? Are you covering a variety of topics like philosophy, arts, sociology...?
