The Consortium Of Medical, Engineering and Dental Colleges of Karnataka has been formed with the objective to offer effective, fair testing procedure to determine merit of the students who are seeking admissions to the undergraduate professional courses of the member institutions. It is more popularly known as COMEDK. This consortium is responsible for organizing the common Entrance test, publication of test score and rank list and also conduct a centralized counseling.

Eligibility Criteria :

1. BE

Candidates should have passed the qualifying examination with a minimum aggregate of 45% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. In the place of Chemistry, Biotechnology, Computer Science, Biology or Electronics as optional subjects are also accepted. English as one language of study is compulsory.

2. B.Arch

A candidate who has passed the qualifying examination (2nd PUC or 10+2 higher secondary or equivalent examination) with Mathematics as one of the subjects along with other subjects or a 10+3 Diploma recognized by Central / State Government and having obtained at least 50% marks in aggregate are eligible.

Further the candidate should have appeared for National Aptitude Test in Architecture (NATA) conducted by Council of Architecture.

COMEDK will not be conducting any competitive entrance test separately for candidates seeking admission to B.Arch (Architecture Course) as per existing rules.

3. MBBS/BDS

Candidates should have passed the qualifying examination with a minimum aggregate of 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology.

Test Scheme:

COMEDK UGET will have the following papers:

• Combined paper for Physics and Chemistry -Compulsory for all the Candidates appearing for COMEDK UGET

• Mathematics Compulsory for the candidates aspiring for BE

• Paper 1 –Combined paper in Physics and Chemistry - There will be a total of 120 questions:60 questions in Physics and 60 questions in Chemistry.

• The test duration for combined paper is 120 minutes and is compulsory for all candidates seeking admissions to M.B.B.S., B.D.S, and B.E.

• Paper 2 – Biology and Mathematics - separately, with each subject having 60 questions with duration of 60 minutes.

• Candidates are free to choose any one or both the subjects – Mathematics as well as Biology

• Candidates are required to mark their answers on an OMR sheet (Optical Mark Reader).

• Correct answer for each question will be awarded one mark.

• No negative marking

Test and Related Information:

The Entrance Test COMEDK UGET is mandatory for all candidates seeking admissions to Member Institutions of COMEDK.A merit / rank list is generated based on the candidate's scores. Test will be conducted during the month of May.

For Medical seats the ratio for government and COMEDK allocation is 42%:58% respectively
