The Consortium Of Medical, Engineering and Dental Colleges of Karnataka has been
formed with the objective to offer effective, fair testing procedure to determine
merit of the students who are seeking admissions to the undergraduate professional
courses of the member institutions. It is more popularly known as COMEDK. This consortium
is responsible for organizing the common Entrance test, publication of test score
and rank list and also conduct a centralized counseling.
Candidates should have passed the qualifying examination with a minimum aggregate of 45% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. In the place of Chemistry, Biotechnology, Computer Science, Biology or Electronics as optional subjects are also accepted. English as one language of study is compulsory.
A candidate who
has passed the qualifying examination (2nd PUC or 10+2 higher secondary or equivalent
examination) with Mathematics as one of the subjects along with other subjects or
a 10+3 Diploma recognized by Central / State Government and having obtained at least
50% marks in aggregate are eligible. 3. MBBS/BDS Candidates should have passed the qualifying examination with a minimum aggregate of 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology.
