National Institute of Technology, Kurukshetra
National Institute of Technology Kurukshetra, Haryana was founded as
Regional Engineering College, Kurukshetra. It is a premier Technical Institute
of the region. Since 1963, like other Regional Engineering Colleges of India
this institution too, had been a joint enterprise of the State and Central
Governments. This Institute was conferred upon status of Deemed University on
June 26, 2002. Since then it has been renamed as National Institute of
Technology, Kurukshetra. (Deemed University)
The institute offers 4year B.Tech courses in four disciplines
It also offers M.Tech Degree in Civil, Electronics and Communication,
Electrical Engineering and Physics with various specializations, besides
doctoral programmes and Post Graduation in Management.
Facilities
Central Library
The central library is housed in a 36,000 sq.ft building and is home to approx.
1,20,000 documents.it also subscribes to 158 print journals and 2800 odd online
journals. It is also a member of Indian National Digital Library in Engineering
Science and Technology (INDEST) Consortium set up by MHRD. It also
provides reprographic services, book binding and book bank facilities for the
weaker students. Centre for Computing and Networking
Center of Computing and Networking is the centralized facility for students,
faculty and staff of the Institute. It serves the following functions such as
Computing facilities, Networking , Upkeep and maintenance of Institute’s LAN
and conducting orientation programs for faculty and staff
Central Workshop
Central Workshop comprises of the Machine shops, Production Shop, Fitting shop,
Pattern making shop, Foundry, Welding and Electrical shop.
Health Centre
Institute also has a health centre with two doctors and supporting staff, a lab
for performing all routine tests and equipment like X Ray, ECG etc.

Srini Raju
He is the founder and Chairman of ilabs and was also the Chief Operating
Officer of Satyam Computer services during 1992-2000. He is the founding CEO
and Director of Satyam Enterprise Solutions Ltd. and was on the board of Sify
Ltd. Mr Raju also held the position of CEO of Dun & Bradstreet Satyam
