Candidates having a bachelor's degree with minimum of 3 years duration or its equivalent ( under the 10+2+3 or 10+2+4 or 10+2+2+1 year bridge course pattern of study or any other pattern fulfilling the mandatory requirements of 15 years formal education) from a recognized university are eligible to apply
At the time of applying candidates studying in 3 year degree program should have passed in all the subjects from the 1st to 4th semesters and candidates studying in 4 year degree program should have passed in all the subjects from 1st to 6th semester.
Only those Candidates who will be able to complete all the requirements of their final year Bachelor's Degree examinations by Monday, June 10, 2018 are eligible to apply.

- The weightage for NET, PIT and PI is as follows for the for the preparation of final merit lists for General as well as for Reserved Category candidates. NET – 40% ; PIT – 30% ; PI – 30%.
- The merit list will be prepared on the basis of merit and the preferences indicated by the candidates at the time of filling up the online application form (Kindly Indicate your preferences carefully as it has implications for the merit list)
- In case of a tie between two candidates, their PI marks will be compared and the one with more marks in PI will be considered, in case there is a tie in PI marks too their PIT marks will be compared and the one with more marks in PIT will be considered, in case there is a tie in PIT marks too then the Entrance test marks will be compared and the one with more marks in entrance test will be considered, in case there is a tie in Entrance marks too then the candidate higher in age will be given the seat.

The Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS) was established in 1936 as the Sir Dorabji Tata Graduate School of Social Work. In 1944, it was renamed as the Tata Institute of Social Sciences. The year 1964 was an important landmark in the history of the Institute, when it was declared Deemed to be a University under Section 3 of the University Grants Commission Act (UGC), 1956.
Since its inception, the Vision of the TISS has been to be an institution of excellence in higher education that continually responds to changing social realities through the development and application of knowledge, towards creating a people-centred, ecologically sustainable and just society that promotes and protects dignity, equality, social justice and human rights for all.
TISS Mumbai's MA in HRM and LR is the only program, which industry treats as equivalent of a MBA ( HR ) program. The other programs are also good, but they are unlike the MBA programs and must be opted only if you are interested in making a career in that domain.
T.I.M.E. counts it among the AAA grade B-schools. It is one of the best HRM programs in India.
Note- Apart from this, it would be advisable for an applicant to check program specific eligibility criteria before applying to any program.
TISS NET examination is to conducted on Jan 6, 2018. It is a computer based exam. The last date for applying for the same is Dec 8, 2017.

TISS-NET 2018 will not have negative marking.
Yes, is provides 15%, 7.5% and 27% reservation to Scheduled Caste, Schedule Tribe and Other Backward Classes (non-creamy layer) for each of the programmes. In addition, supernumerary seats are allocated to Persons With Disabilities (PWD) {3%} , Kashmiri migrants {1%} and children of the Armed Forces Employees {5%}.
The selection of candidates for different programmes happens in two stages and has three components of assessment. All candidates appear for the National entrance test (TISSNET). Based on the performance in the TISSNET examination, only short listed candidates are called for the Pre Interview Test and Personal Interview.(PIT/PI)

Merit List preparation:
As far as Mathematics and English is concerned, a good preparation for CAT should be more than sufficient.
As far as logical reasoning is concerned, one needs to be thorough with all topics of Analytical puzzles, Venn diagrams and deductions. Areas such as number series, letter series, analogies etc should also be prepared.
All these topics have been discussed in LRHO 1001801 to 10. Students are advised to refer to the relevant exercises in SM 1001805 and 07.
