What is IPM
IPM stands for the Integrated Programme in Management (IPM). It is a five-year programme in management offered by the Indian Institute of Management, Indore IIM I). The programme is aimed at students who have passed out of class XII / Higher Secondary or equivalent from various schools in India. It is definitely worth a try even for those who have just joined their Bachelor's course elsewhere.
It is for the first time that a management institute of the repute of IIM Indore is offering a course admitting students who completed their higher secondary examinations. IIM Indore aims to develop competent management professionals, change agents and outstanding leaders through this program. It provides an excellent opportunity for young aspirants, who want to pursue a career in management and will help them get a heads up in the field of management much ahead than they could have through the more traditional approach of the post graduation or a masters program. The program will also aid students in overall personality development and bring about societal awareness

- Foreign Candidates applying through SAT score
Educational : Must have obtained minimum valid score of 1000 out of 1600 SAT examination. SAT Scores obtained during last calendar year are only valid i.e. January 1 2016 to March 31 2017

Candidates will be selected on the basis of overall performance in Aptitude Test (AT), Written Ability Test (WAT) and Personal Interview (PI). Any candidate who fails to appear in either Aptitude Test, Written Ability Test (WAT) and Personal Interview or both shall not be considered for selection. The selection process is as follows:
As a first step, candidates satisfying the minimum eligibility criteria need to submit their online application online before the dead line expires.
Application fee : Rs.1400 for General Category, Rs 700 for SC/ST/PWD AT:Aptitude Test (AT) 2017 will be conducted on May 16 2017.
Pattern of AT:
- Single paper with 100 questions, objective type
- Duration : two hours
- Two sections : Quantitative Ability and Verbal Ability.
- Each question will carry 4 marks.
- There will be a negative marking of 1 mark for each wrong answer.
- Candidates must answer the sections in a pre-specified order and this order will remain the same for all the candidates.
- Quantitative Ability section will have a time limit of 75 minutes and Verbal Ability section will have a time limit of 45 minutes.
28 test centres : Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Bhopal, Bhubaneswar, Chandigarh, Chennai, Dehradun, Ghaziabad, Gurgaon, Guwahati, Gwalior, Hyderabad, Indore, Jaipur, Kolkata, Kozhikode, Lucknow, Mumbai, Nagpur, New Delhi, Noida, Patna, Pune, Raipur, Ranchi, Thiruvananthapuram, Varanasi and Visakhapatnam.
Shortlisting for WAT and PI:
Firstly AT scores are calculated. Only those candidates having positive raw scores and a minimum mark in each of the two sections of Aptitude Test will feature in the merit list and would be short listed for WAT and PI. The minimum cut off mark in each section will be based on the categories of applicants.
Sufficient number of candidates for WAT and PI for each category (General, NCOBC, SC, ST and PWD/DA) will be shortlisted from the eligible pool using the merit list generated based on Aptitude Test Score (ATS).
Computation of Aptitude Test Scores:
Score in Quantitative Ability Section - 65 * (Candidates's Score - Min. Score) /(Max. Score - Min. Score)
Score in Verbal Ability Section - 35 *(Candidates's Score - Min. Score) /(Max. Score - Min. Score)
Aptitude Test Score (ATS) - Sum of above scores (maximum of 100)
Max. and Min. scores are the highest and lowest scores obtained in respective sections by the candidates from the eligible pool.
WAT/PI Centres: 10
Bangalore, Chennai, Delhi, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Indore, Jaipur, Kolkata, Lucknow and Mumbai.
Candidates are expected to exhibit a consistent and minimum performance in the different parameters of Personal Interview (PI), which will be decided by Admissions Committee. Candidates not meeting the minimum performance in any of PI parameters will not be considered for the final selection.
Category wise merit list will be generated based on Composite Score (CS) and provisional admission offers will be made accordingly adhering to the Government of India reservation norms.

As per Government of India reservation norms, 15% per cent and 7.5% of the total seats are reserved for scheduled caste (SC) and scheduled tribe (ST) candidates respectively meeting IIMI's admission requirements; 27% seats are reserved for non creamy layer - other backward classes (NC-OBC) candidates meeting IIMI's admission requirements. In addition, 3% seats are reserved for persons with disabilities (as per the provisions of Persons with Disabilities Act, 1995) meeting IIMI's admission requirements. The three categories of disabilities are: (a) low-vision/blindness, b) hearing impairment, and c) locomotor disability/cerebral palsy. This provision is applicable if the candidate suffers from any of the listed disabilities to the extent of not less than 40% as certified by medical authority and as prescribed and explained in the said Act.
Selection Process – International Applicants
Definition of International Applicants:
Candidates such as
i) Persons who are permanent citizens of a country other than India and residing outside India and
ii) Non-Resident Indians (NRIs) who are not in India during Aptitude Test shall be considered as 'International Applicants'.
To qualify as an NRI, a candidate should be an Indian passport holder who expects to live or study outside India for at least 12 months between January 1, 2016 and June 30, 2017. The candidates seeking admission as an NRI should produce with the application the certificate(s) from the Indian Embassy/High Commission/Consulate of the country where the candidate stayed from January 1, 2016 and June 30, 2017 clearly stating the duration of stay.
- Minimum 60% in standard X/ SSC and standard XII/ HSC or equivalent examinations from any of the recognized Central or State or International Boards; Maximum 20 years of age as on July 31, 2017
- Minimum valid score of 1000 out of 1600 in SAT (SAT score obtained during January 1, 2016 to March 31, 2017 will be only considered as valid score)
A foreign/ NRI applicant, seeking admission to five-year IPM of IIM Indore can take SAT in the country of his/her residence and apply for admission in the prescribed application form, which can be downloaded from IIM Indore website.
The last date for receipt of complete application packet is May 15, 2017.
The application packet must include the following set of materials:
- Completed Application Form
- Self-Attested copy of the latest SAT scores (original to be verified at the time of admission, if selected)
- Three letters of recommendation from a competent authority (Teacher).
- A Statement of Purpose
- Self-Attested photocopy of Passport
- A non-refundable application-processing fee of US $ 50 (Demand Draft drawn in favour of Indian Institute of Management, Indore and payable at Indore).
The candidates will be selected on the basis of performance in SAT, Written Ability Test (WAT) and Personal Interview (PI). Any candidate who fails to appear in WAT and PI shall not be considered for selection.

If an international applicant, who is a foreigner, is selected for admission to the Programme, it will be the sole responsibility of the applicant to obtain and submit all the requisite clearance certificates from the Government of India, such as "No Objection Certificate" from the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India, etc. at the time of joining the Programme.
