IIT-JEE 2012 - Paper1 Preliminary Analysis
IIT-JEE 2012 was conducted on 8th April 2012 in 1067 centres all over India. Approximately 5.06 lakh candidates are taking the test for nearly 10,000 seats in 15 IITs.
There were 10 versions for IIT-JEE 2012 - 0 to 9.
Paper1:
Paper1 had 60 questions in total for 210 marks - in the order of Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. Each subject had 20 questions and the pattern was exactly the same for all the subjects.
Pattern of Paper1:
Q.No.1 to 10 - Single Correct Choice Type (10 questions for 30 marks). +3 for correct answer and -1 for wrong answer
Q.No. 11 to 15 - Multiple Correct Choice Type (5 questions for 20 marks). +4 for correct answer with NO negatives
Q.No.16 to 20- Integer Type (5 questions for 20 marks). Answers were of single digit (ie, 0 to 9) . +4 for correct answer with NO negatives.
For the first time, students have to mark their answers in the OMR sheet with pen and the students were given a copy of the OMR sheet they have marked along with them.
