About MCA

The Procedure for seeking admission in to MCA Degree Programmes, usually consists of the following two steps:

  1. Appearing for the Entrance Test in the relevant Programmes and 
  2. Applying for admission to the concerned admitting college/university/ authorities. Some of the institutes have GD/PI as a part of admission process For ICET of AP (State-level exam conducted by Andhra Pradesh), students have to first write the test.

After the result is announced they will get a rank card. As ICET is common for all universities of A.P., ICET exam will be common for all universities. But, all universities will release different notifications in the local dailies regarding the counseling for admission.

Counselling

All Universities issue notification separately asking students to attend counseling for admission into university and its affiliated colleges. In the notification, schedule for counseling depending on rank and reservation will be informed. Students are required to be present for the counseling (as per the schedule given in notification) with their ICET rank card, required documents and Demand draft. Depending on their rank, 'local-candidate' status and reservation, he/she will be given some colleges to choose. Students can choose the college and pay the fee in the form of DD. That ends the admission process.

The admission into MCA courses is through an entrance test - conducted at the nation level or state level.
