Each correct response will get a score of 1 mark and no credit will be given for the questions not answered.

More than one response will be treated as wrong answer and negatively marked.

The score so obtained would be the raw score that would be used to calculate percentage score and percentile for ranking purpose.

Since the examination is being conducted in 2 shifts, normalisation procedure would be used; the percentile score corresponding to the cut offs would be used to determine eligibility. In case the percentile scores are dissimilar across both the slots, lower of the two would be used to determine the eligibility of candidates from that particular category.

Normalisation procedure based on the analysis of the previous AIIIMS MBBS entrance examinations would be arrived at by the team of experts. It is based on percentile scores.

Percentile scores are being calculated till 7 decimal places to prevent bunching effect and there by reduce ties.

The general standard of the Competitive Entrance Examination will be that of 12th class under the 10+2 Scheme/Intermediate Science.
