"NEET 2016 Phase1 was held on 1st May. The exam was originally planned as AIPMT. The change is due to the Supreme court order to take medical admission based on a single All India Examination.
As many students did not apply for AIPMT, there will be one more chance for the students to apply and write NEET on 24th July. Those who have already applied for 1st May examination is not eligible to write the 24th July examination.
NEET 2016 Phase1 examination paper had 180 questions - 45 questions from Physics, 45 questions from Chemistry and 90 questions from Biology. Various versions had all the questions and choices jumbled. 4 marks will be awarded for the correct choice and -1 for the wrong ones. Physics questions were more numeric oriented and some of the questions were of JEE level. Chemistry was also comparatively difficult - was the comments received from some students"
