Ans. Yes, you can, using the testing ID /Registration number provided by any one of the exams listed above. You can submit the form even if the CAT and XAT registration numbers are not filled. Once these are issued, they will be available for modification.

Scores from these exams can be provided once their results are announced and you will be intimated about it.

If you want to apply, you should not wait till you get your scores/ID numbers as the last date application is 15^th Dec 2010.

Ans. Minimum 3 years of Bachelor's degree in any discipline from a recognised University in India or abroad.

Ans. The percentage should be computed after taking into account all subjects/papers that you have appeared for in the examinations even if some of these subjects/papers are not considered by the Board/University/Institute for computing the final percentage of marks and awarding class/distinction.

Letter grades or grade points should be converted to percentage of marks. If your Board/University/Institute does not provide a formula for converting grade points to percentage, then divide your grade point by the maximum of the scale and multiply it by 100 to get the percentage. For example, if your grade point is 3 on a 4-point scale, the equivalent percentage of marks will be ¾ x 100 = 75.0%.

If you have acquired more than one degree either at bachelor’s, master’s or professional course levels, choose only one of these degrees for entering the percentage of marks

For HSC:

If you have undergone a 3-year Diploma in Engineering studies after SSC (without doing HSC) and have then done/ are doing a 3-year Degree course in Engineering, record the percentage of marks obtained in the Diploma course.

For Graduation:

If you have undergone a 5-year Integrated Master’s Degree course after your HSC, compute the percentage of marks obtained in the first three years and enter this in the Graduation area. Enter the percentage of marks obtained in the remaining two years in the Post-Graduation area. If the duration is 4 years instead of 5 years, then enter the percentage of marks obtained in all 4 years under the Graduation area. If a candidate fulfils his/ her eligibility based on his/her performance in a professional examination (e.g., CA/ICWA) which is considered equivalent to graduation, he/she should indicate in the application form marks obtained in that examination as marks obtained in Graduation area.

If you are undergoing a 5-year Integrated Master’s Degree course after your HSC, compute the percentage of marks obtained in the first three years and enter this in the Graduation area and the remaining two years in the Post-Graduation area. Ans. Work Experience includes only paid full time work after completion of graduation. Article ship/apprentice ship/internship etc which form integral part of course study should not be treated as work-experience.

Ans. Yes. Two 150 word write ups, assessing yourself on your Versatility and Achievement, are to submitted.

Versatility as defined in the form: It means concurrent superior accomplishment in non-related areas such as education and sports, poetry, painting, dancing, social service etc. Accomplishment is different from mere interest. e.g. playing Ranji Trophy while being an engineering student can be termed as 'Outstanding' versatility.

Achievement as defined in the form: It means act of finishing especially by means of exertion, skill, practice or perseverance that result in award of certificate/ reward/ recognition. e.g. any national and international level award or participation in a competitive challenge can be termed as 'Outstanding'.

Ans. The selection process clearly states that a candidate needs to select his/her specialisation for which he/she would wish to be considered and accordingly the candidature would be considered for that specialisation.

A candidate cannot apply to more than one specialisation and hence needs to select the best one suitable to him.
