KEAM 2015 is conducted by the office of the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations, Government of Kerala. KEAM is the entrance examination for admission to professional degree courses offered in the state of Kerala.

Admission to Medical courses, Agriculture, Veterinary and Fisheries courses are regulated on the basis of merit as assessed in the Medical Entrance Examination conducted by the CEE under the Kerala University of Health Sciences.
Scheme of the Examination:
Duration - 2.5 hrs
Objective,multiple choice questions with 5 options and single correct response
Each Paper will have 120 questions to be answered in 150 minutes.
Each correct response will fetch FOUR marks while incorrect response will attract a penalty of 1 mark. Multiple answer marking will also attract a penalty of 1 mark.
All entries in OMR answer sheet are to be made with blue or black ink ballpoint pen only.
Standard of the Entrance Examinations will be that of Higher Secondary or equivalent examinations.
To qualify in the Entrance Examination and thereby become eligible to figure in the rank list for Medical and Ayurveda, a candidate has to score a minimum of 10 marks each in Paper I and Paper II of the Entrance Examination.
Qualifying Standards as stipulated by the MCI for admission to MBBS/BDS Courses :
Only those candidates who score 50% marks in the Medical Entrance Examination (Paper I & II taken together) will be considered for admission to MBBS/BDS courses. Candidates belonging to SEBC with annual income stipulation as given in the KEAM 2014 Brochure and SC/ST, will be considered for admission to MBBS/BDS courses only if they have scored a minimum of 40% marks in the Medical Entrance Examination (Paper I & II taken together).
This is applicable to all candidates seeking admission to MBBS/BDS courses including those under various 'Reservation'/'Special reservation' categories.
Candidates with Locomotory disability of lower limbs between 40% to 70% will be considered for admission to MBBS course only if they have scored a minimum of 45% marks in the Medical Entrance Examination (Paper I & II taken together)
Criteria of eligibility for admission:
Nativity : Only Indian citizens are eligible for admission to Professional courses unless otherwise notified. Persons of Indian Origin (PIO)/ Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) will also be treated at par with Indian citizens for the limited purpose of admission. However PIO/OCI candidates will not be eligible for any kind of reservation. Candidates seeking admission to Professional courses will be categorised as Keralite, Non-Keralite Category I (NK I) and Non-Keralite Category II (NK II). Academic Eligibility :
For MBBS, BDS, BSMS: Candidates who have passed Higher Secondary examination of the Board of Higher Secondary Education, Kerala, or examinations recognised equivalent thereto, with 50% marks in Biology/Biotechnology separately, and 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Biotechnology put together, are eligible.
For admission to BAMS/ BHMS,B.Sc.(Hons.)Agri., B.Sc.(Hons) Forestry, BFSc courses, the eligibility is similar to that of MBBS,BDS and BSMS but the required subjects are Biology,Physics and Chemistry. Biotechnology will not be considered as a subject.
For admission to BVSc. & AH Courses,the eligibility is similar to that of BAMS/BHMS. Apart from Biology,Physics and Chemisry,an aspirant should score not less than 50% in English.,
Only those candidates who secure 50% marks in the Medical Entrance Examination (Paper I & II taken together) of KEAM-2014 will be considered for admission to MBBS/BDS Courses. For SC/ST/SEBC,it is minimum of 40% marks and for candidates with locomotory disability of lower limbs between 40% to 70% it is atleast 45 % marks.
Age:
Applicants should have completed 17 years of age as on the 31st December 2014. No relaxation in the minimum age will be allowed. There is no upper age limit for KEAM–2014.
Online submission of application is required to apply for the Entrance Examination for admission to all the courses (Medical & Allied, Engineering and Architecture).
Rank list for Medical & Allied Courses will be published by 20th May 2014. It will be prepared on the basis of total marks obtained in Paper I (Chemistry & Physics) and Paper II (Biology) of the Medical Entrance Examination
Rank List for Ayurveda Course : A separate rank list for Ayurveda Course will be prepared based on the Medical Rank list. For candidates who have taken Sanskrit as their second language in Higher Secondary or equivalent examination, additional 10 marks will be added to the total marks secured by them in the Medical Entrance Examination (Paper I and Paper II put together) for the preparation of Ayurveda rank list. For others, the total marks in the Medical Entrance Examination alone will be considered.
In case of a tie:
In the case of a tie in the total marks in the Medical Entrance Examination, candidates with higher marks in Biology in the Medical Entrance Examination will be placed higher in the ranking. If there is still a tie, candidates with higher marks in Chemistry of the Chemistry & Physics Paper in the Entrance Examination will be placed higher in the ranking. If there is still a tie, the age of the candidate will be taken into account and the older will be placed higher in the ranking.
The Centralised Allotment Process will be done through the Single Window System (SWS) to give allotments to the various courses and colleges under the Engineering/ Architecture/Medical streams in the State, based on the options submitted by the candidates who have been included in the rank list of the Engineering/Architecture/ Medical/Ayurveda courses for the year 2014, conducted by the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations (CEE), Kerala.
