bhuvana : yes it helps. for your info, pattern for aieee has not changed in many years

dileep : 90 questions-180min. That is 2 min per question. But, all questions are not supposed to be answered. There will be many to left un-attempted. Select the easy and medium type in the beginning. Come back to the difficult ones later. Strike off the questions which you find difficult. This approach is extremely important for time management and reducing negative marking

vatsa : How many Qs can be guessed to manage risks?
dileep : We only recommend intelligent guessing - not the blind guessing. That means, after analysing a question, you will be able to sometime remove some options. Then you may choose between say two options. Please remember options will be set in such way to mislead you.

dileep : On an average 2min per question is available. But you can spend upto 4min per problem oriented question. Hope you will be able solve theory oriented types in less than 1 min

dileep : Select the questions which are theory oriented, and from chapters you are very confident about. At the same time, never leave a question without properly reading them. Never go for any short-cut at this stage. revise concepts and formule which are important - mechanics, Electrostatics, Current-electricity etc. Should revise so that at least base level questions from most of the areas can be attempted. Never go for blind guess

This will give you an idea about the paper. Never panic even if the initial questions are tough. Easy questions might be waiting for you later :)

dileep : Sarath, if you look at the cut off marks last year, it is just 113 out of 360. If you attempt 30 questions correctly out of 90, you will score 30x4 = 120 marks. That means you just need to attempt 1 out 3 to be eligible for JEE Adv!! It is all about your time management skills and your preparation that matters. No need to be panic. Having said that, never aim for 30 questions as it is not sufficient for NIT admission. 180-200 marks are required for a NIT admission - also depends on your state and board marks. 200 marks are also just more than 50% of total marks. You attempt the exam will confidence and positive mind set. You can surely do well
