After checking the answers in JEE-MAIN Exams, I am getting 163/360. What ranks/percentile can I expect? Should I start preparing for JEE ADVANCED?
dileep
:
It will be difficult to predict the rank as it depends on the board exam performance and the state you belong to. At the same time, please start your preparation for JEE Advanced as you will clear the cut off
|
kishore
:
What could be the likely cutoff for the JEE Advanced.
dileep
:
You mean the cut off for being eligible for JEE Adv? The cut off last year was 113 for general category. This year, we are not expecting any major change in the cut off marks. It could be in the range of 110-120

Good Evening. Personally I found this year's Mains to be more challenging than last year. Will the cut off change because of that? And will NIT revise their cut offs too?
dileep
:
In our analysis, we did not find not much of change in the over all difficulty level. A few Physics problems were difficult; but Maths and Chemistry were easy. Hence we do expect the cut off range as 110-120

there was a question in the paper in which the units in all the options was wrong. it was given joules where the question asked us to calculate potential which is in volts or joules per coulomb. it was question 30 in set H. will this make any difference? and the 2nd question also couldn't be calculated without a calculator as it needed e power 0.4. will these make any difference?
sajith
:
As you said, the unit need to be J/c. Since the numerical value is correct, we do not know whether this question will be deleted or not. In the case of 2 nd question i dont feel any issue

jee main expected mark - 160 , is there chance of getting better marks in jee adv
dileep
:
With 160 marks for JEE Main, you will surely clear the cut off. The rank list for IITs depends only based on JEE Advanced. You still have 2 months to go for JEE Adv. Prepare well without thinking about your JEE Main marks. Surely you can do well
