charlton : You will need to work on the Verbal. So in both sections target at least 97%ile. In Verbal - RC, Parajumbles, Paracompletion need to practised on a daily basis. Also cover all topics in Quant. Don't leave anything for choice. Since you have taken the CAT, LR and DI shouldn't be that tough.

saikumar : They do give more calls than seats based on their past history with regards to the number of students who don't accept the call and go elsewhere. The IIMs do not have a fixed batch size - let us say an IIM wants to take 360 students and makes 450 offers. If say 373 students accept the offer then the batch size would be 373. No student is asked to go back once they are made an offer.

vinnayraj : dont read too much into the scores.just make sure your test taking strategy doesnt fail(the very basic-not getting stuck in a particular question for too long,scanning the whole paper to not miss out on easy questions,keeping random and educated guesses to a bare minimum and all the time focusing on fundamentals.analyse your performance in each aimcat and rectify the mistakes you make in the next one).dont give up at any stage.if you keep practising you will surely succeed.the variations in aimcat scores are very normal as everyone has off days and the paper could just throw a big surprise comprising a lot of questions from your weak area.so keep improving..and dont give up..
