And moreover, ppl tend to understand it as Accounting , corporate finance related. You might need to get clarity on what sort of Fin you're interested in, first!

krishnakumar : You cannot expect to solve a lot of AIMCAT qns just by working on the basic study material (ie the 1st set of materials in Lot 1). The flow of preparation is like this. Once you complete a topic from the basic study material, take the foundation level test followed by the medium level test on that topic. If you find some topics a problem, bunch qns on that topic from say 5 AIMCATs and review them thoroughly. That will help you get a good grip of the topic since a lot of concepts gets covered. From there, go to the additional exercise books on each test area (lot 2 material) and then the higher level online sectional tests

krishnakumar : That is bound to happen as questions in each AIMCAT, (for eg, QA) are from different topics. So, your level of comfort with these topics will affect your performance. So will it for others. So, even arguably, if your performance in AIMCATs are stable, the scores of others are fluctuating and this will affect your percentile. To even this out, analyse thoroughly the AIMCATS where you have done badly and then prepare to cover up the gaps
