satyaprakash : First of all, please figure out which area of management interests you the most. If it's H.R., then opt for IIMR over SCMHRD. If it's finance, then choose IMT G. Also, whether finance is intellectually stimulating or not will depend on the kind of profile and responsibilities you have. Here's one last piece of gratuitous advice- figure out if you are a people's person with a lot of empathy. If yes, opt for H.R. If not, then don't hesitate to choose finance. satyaprakash : The average package is exactly what it is- an average. It does not mean that everyone gets the same salary. Once you are in a B-school, your only focus should be on outshining your peers during the course and the interviews. If you can do it, then you'll recover your investment in no time. Keep the faith!

satyaprakash : If you are looking at only the top-20, then you should focus on CAT and XAT. Also consider writing MH-CET to be eligible for JBIMS. NMIMS is not a bad bad back-up option so you should write NMAT as well. Prepare for each according to the paper pattern.

Though these are new IIMs, the IIM tag would work for you in two ways: (a) in the long run it would not matter which IIM it is as the industry looks at IIM or non-IIM, and (b) ​if you work hard at a new IIM and finish in the top 20% of the class, you will do very well. Sir, how is rohtak bettern than raipur, considering that there is a difference of 3 lakhs in the avg packages at both ??

dhruba : first of all it does not matter..i am sure you have learnt from btech as well..and so far as college is concerned you should do mba from a top college only to learn management..u can manage your career once you have the requisite skills..that also gives you more risk taking capability
