govindrajan : Each exam is different in pattern. The latest pattern of CAT is to answer 60 questions in 140 minutes. That is a little more than 2 min per question. But there is no set pattern for the kind of questions. While in Bank Pos 200 questions are given for which the time limit is 150 minutes. Here you have less than one minute per question. But there is standard pattern for questions. It is speed that matters here. Because of this we cannot draw an equation to compare the exams.

IIMs depend on not only percentile but a good research synopsis. they have very exacting standards and many IIMs do not take a single candidate for some disciplines, for many years, since they are waiting for good research topics. FPM is useful, in general, if u r looking for a teaching career in MBA colleges. check out the websites for detailed criteria. typically they will want a high percentile (97%ile plus) for the same but relaxations are sometimes available.

vinnayraj : you can visit the websites of specific iims to find out the selection criteria.since you are a postgraduate you need to get minimum 55 percentage marks in your pg and the cat percentile cutoff is around 60 percentile for most iims.they select candidates who are academically inclined and you will given a stipend of 25000 to 27000 Rs.

thomas : the qns are much simpler than in cat or xat. but as there are 150 qns to be answered in 2 hrs it is basically a test of speed.

ashish : I believe for getting 100 percentile in CAT, you must have little bit of luck on your side on that day. Of course you need work really hard. You need to master all the areas. Right now don't worry about number of questions, instead focus on preparation. For 100 percentile you will have to answer 55+ questions.

govindrajan : You should be one of the top scorers.CET-2012 was tougher as compared to CET-2011. CET-2011 the top scores were in the range of 155+, while in CET-2012 it fell down to 135+. CET is being conducted on line for the first time. The top score depends on the difficulty level.
