govindrajan : As such there is no specific topic. But if you take a look at last year paper you notice that there were about 6 to 7 seven questions on technical terms in economics. There are questions on central government schemes which have catchy names. Get names of all popular personalities, mostly international political leaders. Questions on sports particularly olympics are very likely. Get updated on all major national and international events both political and non-political that took place in the last six months. TIME magazines are going to provide you necessary information.

Take this as a challenge and prove u r worth,,this will cure u r dad soon. Okay first of all spend some time on the areas being covered in the exams u r taking up. Snap and NMat patterns are different. so first spend some time on the old question papers and know the pattern. then chart out a plan day wise for the preparation. Dont woory yar once u plan u can really do well.

For the english section also no additional material is requuired but do cover the CR/LR classes and handouts that are given for OMETs. There are also handouts on decision making that are given. Ensure that you practice them thoroughly. Further two take-home mock XATs and two All-India mock XATs are also provided, which you should attempt seriously and then analyse and learn from. This will be sufficient.

asim : In most b-schools it does not play a major role, if you do well in entrance test,gdpi you are sure to make it to one of the good b-schools.

nivedita : Sir am really tensed as my CAT attempt was not good neither was NMAT good. I am left with XAT and CMAT which I have already registered. XAT is already scaring to me. And CMAT is the only hope am having. The AIMCMAT 1309 resulted in 94 percentile but i think hardly a very few students attempted this exam that is the reason my scores were so high. Please suggest how to study with some motivation.
raviprakash : relax .go through the basics again.the approach needs to be slightly diff for xat.focus on critical reasoning type of ques.XAT score is accepted by many colleges.A high cmat score will get you calls from some good colleges.take another attempt at nmat. chin up !keep on practising.all the best !

sunil : dear satya, a better performance in the CAT or any OMET is far more significant in your sewlection than the minute effect of having more years of work ex. Also, besides being minute in its effect, the negative effect of more work ex is applicable for only few IIMs and institutes and you should not worry about it at all
