MAH MCA CET is a popular examination in Maharashtra. It is for students who want to pursue MCA at Post Graduation level. It is conducted by Directorate of Technical Education (DTE), Maharashtra on behalf of the Government of Maharashtra. Every year it is conducted in the month of March or April. This year,it was conducted on 30th March ,2014.
Two online papers of 100 marks,with 25 q each
Multiple Choice Objective type questions
Composite time of 90 minutes duration.
Each correct answer will carry 4 marks.
Each wrong will attract a penalty of 1 mark.
Two papers are - General Aptitude (GA) & Computer Concepts (CC)
General Aptitude:
This paper will test a candidate's general aptitude to pursue computer applications and software profession.
This paper will cover areas like logical reasoning, quantitative reasoning, high school mathematics,English comprehension and Verbal ability. Topics like Algebra, Coordinate Geometry, Differential Equations, Trigonometry,Probability and Statistics, Arithmetic , Basic set theory and functions, Mensuration.
Computer Concepts:
Computer Concepts include topics like Computer Basics, Data Representation, Computer Architecture, Computer Language and Operating System Basics.

Study material: Every year, T.I.M.E. revises its study material and guides its students to take the right approach to succeed in the Exam. a)Study Material Booklets:In these booklets the basic concepts of each topic of the subject are given with examples. These are followed by excercises.
b)Handouts:The handouts are discussed in the classroom to impart the basic knowledge of the subject to the students.
c)Test papers:The test papers are prepared with questions covering all the basic concepts. The tests have time limit and are conducted in the classroom. The tests are useful for the students for practice.
d)Mock Test Papers: The Mock test papers consist of questions from all the test areas. These tests are prepared to give the students the real feel of the exam.
Classroom coaching: The classroom coaching has three modules – Basic Module, Individual Test Papers and Full Length Mock Test Papers.
Basic Module: In this module, the basic concepts are taught to the students. The classes are designed such that the teaching of the concepts progresses from the absolute basic level to the level of MAH-CET.
Individual Test Papers: Once the basic concepts are taught, individual test papers are conducted at the end of each chapter/topic. The tests are followed by the discussions on the paper in the classroom. These sessions help to reinforce the concepts already learnt.
Full Length Mock Papers: These tests are conducted on the completion of the entire syllabus. The test papers are followed by disscussions with the faculty members. Various strategies and methods of successfully approaching the exam are discussed.
