Eamcet-2012 was conducted on 12th May 2012 across the state. A record number of students 3,88,570 (95,570 for medical and 2,94,000 for engineering) have applied for the exam this year. Exam for Engineering stream was conducted from 10.00am-1.00pm and for medical stream from 2.00pm-5.00pm. The pattern of the Engineering paper did not throw any surprises at the candidates - there were 80 questions from Mathematics,40 from Physics and 40 from Chemistry. Students found the questions from Mathematics and Chemistry to be of moderate difficulty while the questions from the Physics part were seen to be difficult. According to the marking scheme, each correct answer gives +1,and no negative mark for wrong answer/no answer. The EAMCET committee had admitted that there were 3 errors in the Physics paper of the Engineering stream. Initial key for Eamcet-2012 was announced. The last date for submission of objections on preliminary key at Convener's Office through Speed post / Registered post or in person was19-05-2012,5.00PM. The final key is expected to be released during the first week of June,2012. Final ranking will be given based on the weightage principle of 75% to EAMCET marks + 25% to Intermediate board marks. |
