IBPS PO/MT 2019 Notification Out ! 4336 Posts

IBPS has released the notification for the ninth PO/MT CWE (CWE PO/MT - IX) for recruitment of PO/MTs (GBO) in 17 Public Sector Banks.

And the good news is that the tentative number of PO posts this year are 4336, which is 200 more than the number of posts which were announced last year.

  1. Important dates:

    • Dates of Online Preliminary Examination - 12.10.2019, 13.10.2019, 19.10.2019 and 20.10.2019
    • Date of Online Main Examination - 30.11.2019
    • Online registration window & online payment of fee - 07.08.2019 to 28.08.2019
    • Download of Call letter for Prelim - October 2019

    Other dates:

    • Declaration of result of Preliminary Examination - October/ November 2019
    • Declaration of result of Main Examination - December 2019
    • Conduct of Interview - January / Feb 2020
    • Provisional Allotment - April 2020
  2. Eligibility Criteria:

    (a) Age(As on 01-08-2019) - Min 20 years and Max 30 Years (Relaxation for reserved categories as per rules)

    (b) Min educational qualification (As on 28-08-2019)- Degree with in any discipline from a recognized University.

    Note: The candidate must possess valid Mark-sheet / Degree Certificate that he/ she is a graduate on the day he / she registers and indicate the percentage of marks obtained in Graduation while registering online.

  3. Structure of Examination (ONLINE):

    (a) Pattern of Exam:

    (I) Preliminary Examination (Online Test): The test will have of 3 Sections (with separate timings for each section) as follows:

    Note: Candidates have to qualify in each of the three tests by securing minimum cut-off marks to be decided by IBPS.

    (II) Main Examination (Online Test): This will consist of Objective Tests for 200 marks and Descriptive Test for 25 marks. Both the Objective and Descriptive Tests will be online. Candidates will have to answer Descriptive test by typing on the computer. Immediately after completion of Objective Test, Descriptive Test will be administered.

    (i) Objective Test: The objective test of 3 hours duration consist of 4 Sections for total 200 marks.

    (ii) Descriptive Test: The Descriptive Test of 30 minutes duration with two questions for 25 marks will be a Test of English Language (Letter Writing & Essay).

    (b) Penalty for wrong answers: There will be negative marks (Prelim and Main Exams) for wrong answers in the Objective tests. 1/4th mark will be deducted for each wrong answer.

    (c) MARKS OBTAINED IN THE ONLINE MAIN EXAMINATION ONLY WILL BE CONSIDERED FOR SHORTLISTING FOR INTERVIEW AND ALSO FOR FINAL MERIT LISTING

    (d) Interview: Candidates who have been short listed in Main Examination will subsequently be called for an Interview to be conducted by the Participating Organisations. Interviews will be conducted at select centres. The centre, address of the venue, time & date of Interview will be informed to the short listed candidates in the call letter. Candidates are required to download their interview call letters www.ibps.in

    (e) Interview Marks: The total marks allotted for Interview are 100. The minimum qualifying marks in interview is 40% (35% for SC/ST/OBC/PWD candidates). The weightage (ratio) of CWE ( Main Exam) and interview will be 80:20.

  4. How to apply:

    Candidates can apply online only from 07.08.2019 to 28.08.2019 and no other mode of application will be accepted. The fee can be paid in ONLINE mode or OFFLINE mode

    (b) Rs. 600 /- for all others
