  27. Can you give me some suggestions on how to Prepare for IIFT's Entrance Test?

  28. Except for the section on General Awareness, all the other sections of IIFT get well covered with a good preparation for CAT. However, it would be advisable for a student to work on his/her speed mathematics as some of the questions under Data Interpretation tend to be calculation intensive.

    While preparing for the GK section in IIFT entrance test, a student should focus on issues related to national & international events, world bodies, and foreign trade-related information.

    1. From the various issues of MBA Education & Careers magazine, read

      1. OMET GK Special material published in the June-July/August/September issues;
      2. Business GK;
      3. Current Issues & Events;
      4. Current Event Chronicle, and
      5. GK Model Papers feature titled, Improve your GK.
    2. GA Note (Study Material) booklet for stock GK (like history and geography).
    3. GAT papers, each with 50 questions (10 papers)
    4. Manorama & CSR Year Book – they help in preparation for stock type questions. In any such book, please focus on the following chapters: Who is who; What is what; Science scan; Human body; Computers; Landmarks of history; The Universe.

    Finally, OMETs for IIFT question papers are perhaps the best source for preparation. It comes very close to the actual IIFT entrance exam paper and one should give maximum importance to these question papers.
