The Finance Ministry has put on hold the recruitment of Clerks under IBPS Clerk 2021 CWE.
IBPS had already released the notification for filling 5830 posts in 11 PSBs on 11th July 2021 and the registration process started from 12th July 2021. Now, the registration process is temporarily stopped and the notification has also been withdrawn from IBPS website. A note has also been put up on IBPS website mentioning that the registration process is temporarily stopped.
It was mentioned in the notification that the exam would be conducted in Hindi and English. A row has erupted over the issue that, though many languages are recognised by the Constitution Of India, the exam for recruitment to Clerical cadre is being conducted in just two languages, English and Hindi. It is being demanded that this exam be conducted in other regional languages as well.
The Finance Ministry has appointed a Committee to look into this issue and the Committee would give its recommendations in 15 days. The FM has also asked the IBPS to temporarily put on hold the ongoing recruitment process for Clerks in PSBs. IBPS is already conducting the IBPS RRB exams in regional languages and it will not at all be difficult for IBPS to conduct this exam in regional languages. IBPS is just waiting for the nod from the FM as to in how many languages this exam should be conducted, and then it would then go ahead with the recruitment process.
Bank Aspirants should not put a break to their preparation and should continue to prepare with the same zeal with which hey have been doing till now. The exam has been postponed, but not cancelled !!
