SBI has announced 5280 Circle Based Officers posts under CBO recruitment drive 2023 -24.

These posts are for candidates who have a minimum experience of 2 Years (as on 31.10.2023) as an officer in any Scheduled Commercial Bank or any Regional Rural Bank

1. Important dates:

2. Eligibility Criteria :

(a) Age(As on 31-10-2023) : Min 21 years and Max 30 Years (Relaxation for reserved categories as per rules) (i.e. candidates must have been born not later than 31.10.2002 and not earlier than 01.11.1993 (both days inclusive))

(b) Min educational qualification(As on 31.10.2023) : Graduation in any discipline from a recognised University or any equivalent qualification recognised as such by the Central Government including Integrated Dual Degree (IDD). Candidates possessing qualifications such as Medical, Engineering, Chartered Accountant, Cost Accountant would also be eligible

(c) Experience: Minimum 2 years’ experience (Post Essential Academic Qualification Experience) as on 31.10.2023 as an officer in any Scheduled Commercial Bank or any Regional Rural Bank as listed in Second Schedule of Reserve Bank of India.

(d) Local Language: Candidates applying for vacancies of a State have to produce 10th or 12 th standard mark sheet/ certificate evidence having studied the specific local language of the applied State as one of the subjects.

(3) Selection Procedure:

The selection process consists of Online Written Test, Screening and Interview.

Online Test: Online test will consist of Objective Tests for 120 marks and Descriptive Test for 50 marks. The Descriptive Test will be administered immediately after conclusion of the Objective Test and candidates will have to type their Descriptive Test answers on the computer

(i) Objective Test: The duration of objective test is 2 hours and it consists of 4 Sections of total 120 marks. There will be separate timing for every section.

(ii) Descriptive Test: The duration of Descriptive Test is 30 minutes. It will be a Test of English Language (Letter Writing & Essay) with two questions for a total of 50 marks.
Penalty for Wrong Answers: There will be no penalty for wrong answers marked in Objective Tests.

Sectional Marks will not be maintained for Online Examination.

Merit List: Merit list will be drawn State wise and Category wise on the basis of the aggregate marks scored in Online Written Test. There will be no sectional qualifying marks. Candidates numbering up to 3 times (approx.) of the State wise and Category wise vacancies will be shortlisted for Screening from the top of the merit list drawn on State wise and Category wise subject to a candidate scoring the minimum aggregate qualifying score, as decided by the Bank.

Interview: Interview will consist of 50 marks. Candidates will have to score minimum qualifying marks in the interview to be considered for final selection. The minimum qualifying marks will be decided by the Bank.

(4) How to apply:

Candidates can apply online only from 22.11.2023 to 12.12.2023. No other mode of application will be accepted.

(5) Application fees / Intimation charges:

(a) No fees for SC/ST/PWD candidates. (b) Rs. 750 /- for General, EWS and OBC

(6) Joining, Training & Career Path:

On joining, the selected candidates will be designated as “Circle Based Officers” (CBOs) and will be on probation for a period of 6 months from their joining the Bank.

The CBOs will be subjected to continuous assessment during probation period for judging their suitability for confirmation. The candidates who qualify in their assessment as per standards determined by the Bank from time to time, will be confirmed in the service of the Bank in Junior Management Grade Scale-I (JMGS-I).
