
AILET 2024
The NATIONAL LAW UNIVERSITY, DELHI established in 2008 by Act No. 1 of 2008 is premier Law University established in the capital city of India. The University offers B.A.LL.B. (Hons.), LL.M. and Ph.D. Programmes. The entrance exam for this premier Law school is AILET – All India Law Entrance Examination.
Eligibility:
Senior Secondary School Examination (10+2 system) or an equivalent examination with 45% marks (40% in case of SC/ST/Persons with Disabilities). Candidates appearing for the 12th standard annual examination in 2024 are eligible to apply.
Total Seats:
110+10+2 (110 seats on AILET merit; 5 seats each for Foreign Nationals and OCI/PIO for direct admission on merit, 2 Supernumerary seats for Residents of Jammu and Kashmir and 1 Supernumerary seat for Kashmiri Migrant).
Test Cities:
AILET-2024 will be conducted at the following cities: Bengaluru, Bhopal, Chandigarh, Chennai, Cochin, Cuttack, Dehradun, Delhi, Gandhinagar, Greater Noida, Gurugram, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Jaipur, Jammu, Jodhpur, Kolkata, Lucknow, Mumbai, Nagpur, Patna, Raipur, Varanasi and Visakhapatnam.
Test Fee:
The test fee will be Rs.3,050/-(Rupees Three Thousand Fifty Only) For SC/ST candidates and candidates with Disabilities (PWD), the fee is Rs.1,050/-(Rupees One thousand Fifty Only). Below Poverty Line (BPL) applicants of SC/ST category are exempted from application fee.
Test Pattern:
A major change in the pattern has been announced for the exam this year. The exam will now have 3 sections as below: Section A: English Language (50 questions; 50 marks) Section B: Current Affairs & General Knowledge (30 questions; 30 marks) Section C: Logical Reasoning (70 questions; 70 marks)
Duration of the exam will be 90 minutes and there will be 1/4th negative marking for wrong answers.
