      Engineering streams
  2. MSc (Hons)
      It is an integrated degree program without intermediate BSc degree . The course offers analytical and engineering science contents which give a professional character to the program.
  3. M.Sc.(Tech.)
      These programmes are multi-disciplinary, technological in character and are designed to meet the requirements of newly emerging professional activities.
  4. B.Pharm. (Hons.)
      The Institute's B.Pharm.(Hons.) programme meets the requirements of the Pharmacy Council of India.
ELIGIBILITY FOR ADMISSION TO BITS PILANI , GOA AND HYDRABAD
  • The candidate should have passed the 12th examination of the 10+2 system from a recognized Central/ State board or its equivalent
  • Minimum 80% aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics subjects
  • Minimum 60% marks in each of the Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics subjects.
  • Candidate should have adequate proficiency in English.
  • Students who are appearing for 12th examination in 2008 and who have passed the examination in 2007 are eligible to appear in the BITSAT-2008 test.
  • Students who are presently studying in BITS at any of its campuses are not eligible to appear in BITSAT test.
ADMISSION PROCEDURE

Admissions to all the Integrated First Degree programmes of BITS, Pilani, at Pilani,Goa and Hydrabad campuses are made on the basis of a Computer based Online Test referred to as ‘BITS Admission test’, in short as BITSAT

The Institute admits first rank students of all the Central and State Boards in India directly to the programme of their choice, irrespective of their BITSAT score. The admissions are made purely on merit basis provided the candidate obtains the minimum marks in PCM subjects of 12th examination. There is no separate admission procedure for NRI/Foreign students.

Application procedure
All those who are appearing in BITSAT-2008 have to separately apply for admission once the advertisement for the courses is released.

Syllabus:
The BITSAT is based on NCERT syllabus.

Nature of BITSAT

BITSAT online test has four parts

    Part I- Mathematics (45 questions), Part II- Physics (40 questions), Part III-Chemistry (40 questions), Part IV-English proficiency (15 questions) & Logical Reasoning (10 questions).There are total of 150 multiple choice questions (MCQs).
    Correct answer scores 3 marks and wrong -1,Duration- 3 hours.
    The scores are made available to the candidates immediately after the test.

ADMISSION TO BITS PILANI DUBAI

BITS PILANI DUBAI (BPD) was established in Dubai in the year September 2000. The institute offers Engineering Programmes (B.E) at the undergraduate level in six different specializations. All the programmes are of 4 years duration and an Internship of 7˝ months in reputed industries is included within these 4 years.

Admission to BPD is based entirely on the candidate's merit i.e. the overall aggregate secured by the candidate in the qualifying examinations and not based on any entrance tests. Admissions are open to all nationalities.

Qualifying examination and eligibility
  1. The candidate should pass General Secondary Education Certificate Examination of Ministry of Education, UAE
    OR

    Senior School Certificate Examination of the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), New Delhi, India, or its equivalent from any recognized State, National or International boards.
  2. Candidates must have secured at least 60% overall aggregate of marks in the Qualifying Examination with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics subjects. A minimum aggregate of 60% in Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics put together is essential.
  3. Candidates who have studied Physics, Chemistry and Biology are eligible to apply, for B.E. (Hons) Biotechnology Programme provided they have a minimum aggregate of 60% in Physics, Chemistry & Biology put together
  4. Good proficiency in English is essential for admission.

Candidates who have completed their Qualifying Examination from Non-English medium schools should produce

  1. A TOFEL SCORE of 500 in paper based test or 173 in computer based test or its equivalent in any standardized test such as IELTS score of 5.0 and
  2. Assessment by an INSTITUTE COMMITTEE for  English comprehension.
