SSC Stenographer Grade C and D Notification 2025 Out!

SSC has released the notification for Stenographer Grade C and D Examination 2025. The total vacancies announced are 261, which is a very small number when compared to the range of 2000-3000 vacancies which are announced every year. But, there is a very high possibility of the vacancies going up for this year in due course of time.

(A) Important Dates:

• Dates for submission of online applications: 06.06.2025 to 26.06.2025
• Last date for receipt of online applications: 26.06.2025
• Last date for making online fee payment: 27.06.2025
• Date of "Window for Application Form Correction" and online payment of Correction Charges: 01.07.2025 to 02.07.2025
• Schedule of Computer Based Examination : 6th to 11th August, 2025
• Toll Free Helpline Number to be called in case of any difficulty in filling up the Application Form 180093063 (Toll Free)

(B) Eligibility Criteria:

(i) Age Limit (as on 01.08.2025): Stenographer Grade ‘C’: 18 to 30 years & Stenographer Grade ‘D’: 18 to 27 years
(ii) Educational Qualifications (As on 01.08.2025): Candidates must have passed 12thstandard or equivalent examination from a recognized Board or University

(C) Scheme of Examination:

The details of the Computer Based Examination are mentioned below

• Question paper will be of Objective Type Multiple Choice only.
• The questions will be set both in English & Hindi.
• There will be negative marking of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer
• Skill Test in Stenography: Candidates who are shortlisted in the Computer Based Examination will be required to appear in the Skill Test for Stenography. The candidates will be given one dictation for 10 minutes in English or Hindi (as opted by the candidates in the online Application Form) at the speed of 100 words per minute (w.p.m.) for the post of Stenographer Grade ‘C’ and 80 w.p.m. for the post of Stenographer Grade ‘D’. The matter will have to be transcribed on the computer, in the given time limit

(D) Application fee and How to Apply:

₹100/- (Rs one hundred only). Women candidats, SC, ST, PwBD and ESM are exempted from payment of fee.
