Directions for questions 87 to 89:
Each sentence has a part which is underlined. Beneath the sentence you will
find four ways of phrasing the underlined part. Follow the requirement of the standard
written English to choose your answer. Selection should make the sentence
clear, exact and free of grammatical error. It should minimize awkwardness
ambiguity and redundancy.
