Graduates from good management institutes are known to get excellent job placements with fat pay packets. Some of the top management schools in the country have an exemplary track record of getting near 100% placement with very good salaries and job roles. These B-Schools have also been quite successful in getting a number of their students placed in organizations that offer international postings. In fact, of late, it is a matter of great prestige to be able to place students in the "Big 4" consulting firms and in some of the top investment banking companies in the world. The dollar salaries for these international placements range between US$ 50,000 per annum and US$ 1,60,000 per annum.

These Top-of-the-line management schools also take pride in their students getting placed within the first few days of the placement session. It is also not uncommon for students to have more than one or two offers while graduating from these B-Schools. The IIMs and other "Top-notch" institutes claim an average placement salary of about Rs.10 to 17 lakhs per annum! The highest salary on offer for domestic placements can be as high as Rs.30 to 40 lakhs per annum!! The lowest salary on offer at these management institutes is about Rs.7-8 lakhs. Most of the top B-Schools put up their placement reports on their websites and also publish this information in most leading newspapers and journals. The average salary in the next level of management institutes is about Rs.6 to 10 lacs per annum and ranges between a low of Rs.4 lacs and a high of Rs.12- 15 lacs. An odd company or two could, of course, offer salaries outside the ranges specified above. And at the next level of management institutes the average salary on offer is around Rs. 2.5 lacs to Rs. 5 lacs per annum.
