VIT apart from its B.Tech programmes, also offers MCA and M.Tech. programmes. MCA programme is meticulously planned, is regularly updated to prepare students to take up challenging jobs in the ever changing industrial scenario. The University strives at incorporating the latest technology in its academic curriculum, with an intention to evolve a new breed of computer post graduates endowed with both professional and application skills to succeed in the industry.

MCA programme is being offered at the Vellore and the Chennai campuses. It is a 2 year - 4 semester course.

Academic Eligibility:

Recognized Bachelor's Degree of Minimum 3 Yrs duration in BCA, B.Sc (IT/ Computer Science) with Mathematics as a course at 10+2 level or at Graduate Level. A candidate should have obtained at least 60% at the qualifying Examination.

Consistent Record in X and XII Std is required.

Admission Procedure:

The applicants should apply online by paying a non-refundable application fee of Rs.950/-.

The applicants should register for VITMEE for a Computer Based Objective test at indicated test centres.

The list of short-listed candidates will be called for an interview/ counselling at Vellore/ Chennai.

Selected candidates will have to pay a deposit of Rs. 10,000/- towards counselling fee. Counselling fee is Non-Refundable, but it will be adjusted in the tuition fees once the candidate joins the university.

This amount should be paid by way of a Demand Draft drawn in favour of "VIT University", payable at Vellore (only computerised DD will be accepted). Candidates who fail to pay the advance at the Counselling will not be considered for Admission.

It is a computer based test (CBT) paper
100 objective questions
Maximum of 100 marks.
No negative marks for wrong answers

Application forms:

The payment can be either made by online using net banking/ credit/ debit cards.

In case the applicant prefers to pay by demand draft he/she should have it ready before start filling the application since the DD number and other details are required. The application should be downloaded and enclosed with the DD and sent to Director (PG Admission), VIT University, Vellore 632014. India on or before 27th April, 2015. The application need not be sent by post if the online payment is chosen.

VITMEE 2015 testslot booking is a web based online scheduling system. Once the candidate submits the online application, the candidate will receive an e-mail with a website link and the corresponding login credentials (user id & password)

The online test slot booking will be opened during the last week of May 2015 and the exact date will be announced in VIT Website. Candidates can then login to the link, choose from the available options on test schedule (date & time), test center and book the test slot.
