IITD receives funds to the order of Rs100 crores per annum to support its
academic, research and ancilliary activities. It has centralized computing
infrastructure with Unix Servers, advanced fibre-optics communication network
spread over the entire campus, indigenously developed state-of-the-art PARAM
10000 supercomputer, lecture theatres with online media projectors, over
2.5lakhs bibliographic records of books in the central and 18 departmental
libraries. Open air theatres, auditoriums, sports infrastructure matching world
class standards adds to the overall learning experience. The national level
fests like Rendezvous, Sportech, Tryst and Perspective are fully organized by
various student bodies at the institute level which helps them hone their
management skills.
