    Score and Result for JEE (Main) - 2014


                   


    The score of JEE (Main) – 2014 for all candidates will be declared by 3rd May 2014. This score shall comprise of the actual marks obtained in JEE (Main) – 2013 and will give the status of those who qualify for appearing in JEE (Advanced) – 2013 (provided other conditions of eligibility are met).

    Display of OMR Sheets: The OMR answer sheets of all the candidates along with the responses captured will be put on JEE (Main) website for verification by the candidates (25 – 27 April 2014).

    • The candidates, who are not satisfied with the captured response, may challenge by filling online application form and paying a sum of Rs.1000/- per question only through the link available on the website www.jeemain.nic.in up to 5.00 PM on 27/04/2014.

    • The fee can be paid by credit/debit card or e-challan. The fee once paid is non-refundable. The JAB’s/CBSE’s decision on the challenges shall be final and no further communication will be entertained.

    JEE (Main) Rank List: Separately, on the basis of score in JEE (Main) and normalised score in Class 12 or other qualifying exam (60% & 40% weightage respectively), separate rank lists will be prepared for admission to B.E./B.Tech. and B.Arch/ B.Planning (in institutions other than IITs). This will be declared on or before 7th July 2014.

    Only the All India Rank (AIR) is used for admissions through Central Counselling Board to NITs/ IIITs/ CFTIs/ SFIs/ Others, while other ranks are for information purposes. All participating institutes that do not use the centralised counselling procedures will prepare their own ranking based on the performance in JEE(Main) and other criteria as decided by them.

    Score/ Rank Card: From this year (2014) onwards, NO score/rank card will be dispatched to the candidates. The candidates are advised to download their score/rank cards from the JEE (Main) website http://jeemain.nic.in only.

    Tie-Break: When two or more candidates obtain equal marks (by giving 60% weightage to performance in JEE (Main) and 40% weightage to normalised marks in Class 12 or other qualifying examination), the tie-break for such candidates shall be decided in the following order:

    In Rank list for admission to B.E/B.Tech (in institutions other than IITs)

    • By marks obtained in Mathematics in JEE (Main) – 2014 - Candidate obtaining higher marks will be given better rank.

    • By marks obtained in Physics in the JEE (Main) – 2014 - Candidate obtaining higher marks will be given better rank.

    • By total normalised qualifying exam marks - Candidate obtaining higher normalised marks will be given better rank.

    • By finding the ratio of positive marks and negative marks - Candidate having higher absolute value of the ratio will be given better rank.

    • If the resolution is not possible after this criterion, candidates will be given the same rank.

    In Rank list for admission to B.Arch/B.Planning(in institutions other than IITs)

    • By marks obtained in Aptitude Test in Paper-2 in JEE (Main) – 2014 - Candidate obtaining higher marks will be given better rank.

    • By marks obtained in Drawing Test in Paper-2 in JEE (Main) – 2014 - Candidate obtaining higher marks will be given better rank.

    • By total normalised qualifying exam marks - Candidates obtaining higher normalised marks will be given better rank.

    • By finding the ratio of positive marks and negative marks - Candidate having higher absolute value of the ratio will be given better rank.

    • If the resolution is not possible after this criterion, candidates will be given the same rank.
