MHT-CET (Maharashtra Health and Technical Common Entrance Test) (MHT-CET)
The Commissioner of State CET Cell, has been designated as Competent Authority for conducting
MHT-CET-2016 and selection of candidates for admission to Under Graduate Degree courses in
Engineering and Technology for the academic year 2016-2017 being offered in Private Professional Educational Institutions.

Schedule of MHT CET 2016:
Date - 05/05/2016
Physics and Chemistry - 10 am to 11.30 am
Biology - 12 noon to 1.30 pm
Mathematics - 3.00 pm to 4.30 pm
Schedule & Test Design: The MHT-CET-2016 will consist of three question papers. Each paper is for 100 marks.
Paper I
Physics - 50 q, 1 mark each, 50 marks
Chemistry - 50 q, 1 mark, 50 marks
Paper II Biology
Botany - 50q, 1 mark, 50 marks
Zoology - 50q, 1 mark, 50 marks
Paper III
Mathematics - 50 q, 2 marks each, 100 marks
There is no choice among the questions, i.e. all questions have to be answered.
Paper I and II - for Health Science courses and BVSc & AH
Paper I and Paper III - for engineering course
Paper I & Paper-II and/or Paper-III - for pharmacy course
Correct answer chosen from 4 options to be marked with black ball point pen.
No negative marks for wrong answers
Syllabus of Examination:
Syllabi of Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Mathematics for the MHTCET-2016 will be the same as for the current year for HSC Examination (i.e March 2016) of HSC Board of Maharashtra.
Language of Question Paper:
English or Marathi or Urdu - for Physics, Chemistry and Biology.
English only - for Mathematics
Examination Centre:
The MHT-CET examination center will be
- within the same district from where the candidate has passed / is appearing at the qualifying examination
- allotted by the commissioner State CET cell for the eligible candidates passing qualifying examination from outside the state of Maharashtra.
- district/headquarter of the Divisional Authority where he/she has submitted MHT-CET 2016
Application Form for candidates who have passed their qualifying examination from an institution situated outside the State of Maharashtra.
Eligibility for admission to engineering and technology courses:
All the candidates passed / appearing at the qualifying examination i.e. HSC/12th Standard examination or its equivalent examination and having Indian Nationality are eligible for appearing for MHT-CET-2016. There is no age limit for admission.
Online Application Form:
A candidate has to first register for MHT CET 2016 at "www.mhtcet2016.co.in" and only then he /she can make the payment at the branches of SBI.
Once the registration for MHT CET 2016 is completed a unique MHT CET 2016 Registration No. & password would be provided for the candidate.
