JMI was founded
at Aligarh in 1920 during the Khilafat and Non-Cooperation movement on the behest
of Gandhiji's call to boycott government supported educational institutions. The
institution was relocated to Delhi in 1925 and went on to become a Central University
in 1988 by an act of Indian Parliament vide Jamia Millia Islamia ACT 1988 (No. 59
of 1988).

Medium of test
is English and all questions will be objective type in the standard of CBSE 10+2
exam.
A student should
score 45% aggregate marks in PCM in 10+2 level for securing first year B.Tech admission.
The B.Tech admission test is conducted during the month of June.

and experienced holders only. Total seats - 350
There will be
only one paper with 3 hr duration having a total mark of 130 and 30 marks will be
given for performance in interview and 40 marks for the experience.
For B Arch
programme

Total seats - 40 regular and 40 self finance
There shall be two papers, the first (PCM) containing three sections viz. Physics,
Chemistry & Mathematics. All questions will be objective type & Second (Aptitude
test).
