MCA admissions for the year 2015-16 were based on PGCET(MCA) scores. PGCET(MCA)2015 was conducted by Karnataka Examinations Authority, Bengaluru.
Karnataka candidates are eligible for admission under the following category of seats:
(i) Government Seats for both “Reserved and General Category”,
(ii) Management Seats, if surrendered by the Private Institutions
Non-Karnataka candidates are eligible for admission to surrendered Management seats only

Test Paper has Part A and Part B. Part A : 60 questions (60x1= 60 marks). Part B : 20 questions (20x2= 40 marks)
80 questions, objective type, 100 marks.
Test Duration - 120 minutes.
No negative marking.
Break up Of Questions:
1) Mathematics : 40 marks
2) Computer awareness, : 20 marks
3) Analytical Ability and Logical reasoning : 15 marks
4) General Awareness and : 15 marks
5) General English :10 marks
Part B consists of questions from Mathematics and Part A consists of questions from other test areas.
Eligibility for full time MCA course:
A candidate who has passed any under graduate examination or equivalent examination with Mathematics or Statistics or Computer Science or Computer Applications or Business Maths or Business Statistics as an elective or one of the optional subjects and obtained an aggregate minimum of 50% marks in all the subjects in the degree examination is eligible for admission to MCA courses. In case of SC/ST and Category-I candidates it is 45% marks. A candidate who is awaiting results is also eligible to appear for the exam.
