About NEET

National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (UG) 2019 (NEET (UG) - 2019) will be conducted by National Testing Agency (NTA) for admission to MBBS/BDS Courses in Indian Medical/Dental Colleges run with the approval of Medical Council of India/Dental Council of India, except for the institutions established through an Act of Parliament i.e. AIIMS and JIPMER Puducherry.

National Testing Agency (NTA) is an independent autonomous and self-sustained premier testing organisation under Department of Higher Education, MHRD, Government of India.

The responsibility of the NTA is limited to the conduct of the entrance examination, declaration of result and for providing an “All India Rank merit list” to the Directorate General Health Service, Government of India for the conduct of counselling for 15% All India Quota Seats and for supplying the result to States/other Counselling Authorities.

Following are the MBBS/BDS seats available under different quotas through NEET (UG) 2019

  1. All India Quota Seats
  2. State Government Quota Seats
  3. Central Institutions/Universities/Deemed Universities
  4. Central Pool Quota Seats

NEET (UG) 2019 will be conducted in paper and pen mode on May5th,2019.
