SBI PO 2019 Notification Out !! 2000 Posts

SBI has announced 2000 PO posts under PO recruitment drive 2019 -20.

  1. Important dates:

    • Online registration window & Payment of fee - 02.04.2019 to 22.04.2019
    • Online Examination – Preliminary : 8th, 9th, 15th & 16th June 2019
    • Conduct of Online Examination – Main : 20th July 2019

  2. Eligibility Criteria :

    (a) Age(As on 01-04-2019) - Min 21 years and Max 30 Years (Relaxation for reserved categories as per rules)

    (b) Min educational qualification(As on 31.08.2019) : Degree in any discipline from a recognized University or any equivalent. Those who are in the Final year/ Semester of their Graduation may also apply provisionally subject to the condition that, if called for interview, they will have to produce proof of having passed the graduation examination on or before 31.08.2019

  3. Structure of Examination (ONLINE):

    a) Pattern of Exam:

    Phase 1 : Preliminary Examination (Online Test): The test will have of 3 Sections (with separate timings for each section) as follows:

    Note 1 : Category wise merit list will be drawn on the basis of the aggregate marks scored in the Preliminary Examination.

    Note 2 : Candidates numbering approximately 10 times the numbers of vacancies in each category will be short listed for the Main Examination from the top of the merit list.

    Phase II : Main Examination (Online Test): This will consist of Objective Tests for 200 marks and Descriptive Test for 50 marks. Both the Objective and Descriptive Tests will be online. Candidates will have to answer Descriptive test by typing on the computer. Immediately after completion of Objective Test, Descriptive Test will be administered.

    (i) Objective Test: The objective test of 3 hours duration consist of 4 Sections for total 200 marks.

    (a) Each test will have separate timing as mentioned above.

    (b) There will be negative marks (Prelim and Main Exams) for wrong answers in the Objective tests. 1/4th mark will be deducted for each wrong answer.

    (ii) Descriptive Test: The Descriptive Test of 30 minutes duration with two questions for 50 marks will be a Test of English Language (Letter Writing & Essay).

    Selection criteria for Group Exercise and Interview: Category wise merit list will be drawn on the basis of the aggregate marks scored in the Main Examination. There will be no sectional cut-off. Candidates numbering up to 3 times (approximately) of the category wise vacancies will be shortlisted for the Group Exercise & Interview

    Phase III : Group Exercises ( 20 marks) & Interview (30 marks) : The aggregate marks of candidates qualifying in both the Objective Tests and Descriptive Test will be arranged in descending order in each category. Adequate number of candidates in each category, as decided by the Bank will be called for Group Exercises and Interview. The qualifying marks in Group Discussion &Interview will be as decided by the Bank.

    Final Selection : The marks obtained in the Preliminary Examination (Phase-I) will not be added for preparing the final merit list for selection. Only the marks obtained in Main Examination (Phase-II), both in Objective Test and Descriptive Test, will be added to the marks obtained in GE & Interview (Phase-III) for preparing the final merit list. The candidates will have to qualify both in Phase-II and Phase-III separately.

  4. How to apply:

    Candidates can apply online only from 02.04.2019 to 22.04.2019. Candidates will be required to register themselves online through Bank's website https://bank.sbi/careers or https://www.sbi.co.in/careers. After registration candidates are required to pay the requisite application fee through online mode by using debit card/ credit card/ Internet Banking.

  5. Application fees / Intimation charges:

    (a) Rs. 125/- for SC/ST/PWD/XS candidates.

    (b) Rs. 725 /- for General, EWS and OBC

  6.
