The Symbiosis Entrance Test (SET) BBA exam is to be conducted from 10th to 13th July 2021 for the admission to BBA programmes offered by various institutes affiliated to Symbiosis International University, Pune.
The exam was conducted in home proctored computer-based format. The duration of the exam conducted today was 90 minutes - 60 minutes for the MCQ’s followed by 30 minutes for the WAT. The total number of questions to be answered was 60. There was no sectional time limit, and the sections could have been attempted in any order. The exam was an objective multiple choice question paper divided into 4 sections viz., General English, Quantitative Ability, General Awareness, and Analytical & Logical Reasoning. There was no negative marking for wrong answers.

General English
The General English section was easy. This section had questions on Para Formations, Synonyms/Antonyms, Fill in the blanks, Active-Passive voice, etc. Most of the questions were easy and pretty much manageable. A sincere student could have easily attempted 12+/-2 questions in this section.
Quantitative Ability
Quantitative Ability section had most of the questions falling in moderate-easy category. It is expected that most of the test takers would have attempted a good number of questions in this section. The questions were mostly from Arithmetic. Questions were set from commercial maths (Profit, Loss, & Discount/SI CI), Time & Distance, Time & Work, Probability, Progression, Mensuration, Algebra, etc. An attempt of about 11+/-2 can be considered a good attempt.
General Awareness
The questions were based on Business awareness, Economics, History, Abbreviations, etc. Questions on static GK were also there. Current Affairs had a majority of questions – 11 vis-à-vis 5 in Static GK. The difficulty level of questions was easy-moderate. An attempt of 11-13 can be considered a decent attempt in this section.
Analytical & Logical Reasoning
The questions in Analytical & Logical Reasoning section were based on Series, Coding-Decoding, Calendar, Blood Relation, etc. The questions were relatively more challenging and time consuming as compared to the ones in the other sections. An attempt of 6-8 can be considered to be a good attempt.
Overall, the difficulty level of the test was easy-moderate, and a sincere student could have attempted over 43 questions in the test. The cut-off for the Pune campus is expected to be around 42 and about 3-5 marks lower for the NOIDA campus.
