IBPS had already released the notification for filling 5830 Clerk posts in 11 PSBs on 11th July 2021 and the registration process started from 12th July 2021. The registration process was then temporarily stopped and the notification was also withdrawn from IBPS website. Earlier the IBPS Clerk Exam used to be conducted in English and Hindi. There was a demand to conduct this exam in regional languages also, similar to what is being done for IBPS RRB Clerk. Hence the notification released in July was withdrawn.
The Finance Ministry has approved that the IBPS Clerk Exam can now be conducted in regional languages as well. Hence, IBPS has released the NEW notification for recruitment of Clerks in PSBs.
The candidates who have already registered successfully for this process during July 12-14, 2021, need not apply again. Their earlier application will be considered for further process. All the tests(sections of the exam) other than Test of English Language in Both Preliminary and Main Examinations will be available in 13 Regional Languages in addition to Hindi and English.(Refer to page 8 of detailed Notification)

2. Eligibility Criteria:
(a) Age( As on 01.07.2021) - Min 20 years and Max 28 Years (Relaxation for reserved categories as per rules) (i.e. A candidate must have been born not earlier than 02.07.1993 and not later than 01.07.2001 (both dates inclusive)) (b) Min educational qualification (As on 01.08.2021) - Degree in any discipline from a recognized University. Note 1: Computer Literacy: Operating and working knowledge in computer systems is mandatory i.e. candidates should have Certificate/Diploma/Degree in computer operations/Language/ should have studied Computer / Information Technology as one of the subjects in the High School/College/Institute.
Note 2: Proficiency in the Official Language of the State/UT (candidates should know how to read/ write and speak the Official Language of the State/UT) for which vacancies a candidate wishes to apply is preferable.

(4) How to apply:
Candidates can apply online only from 07.10.2021 to 27.10.2021 and no other mode of application will be accepted. The fee can be paid in ONLINE mode only.
