RBI Grade B Officer 2022 Notification Out ! 294 Posts!

RBI has announced the Recruitment of Grade B Officers for 2022. Total posts announced are 294. This is 28 posts less than the number of posts announced in 2021.

(1) Important Dates :

Online Registration and payment of fee : March 28 - April 18, 2022 (till 6PM)

1. Officers in Gr B (DR) - General Phase-I – Online Examination May 28, 2022
Phase-II – Paper I, II & III Online Examination June 25, 2022

  • Candidates will have to appear in only one shift of Phase-I examination.
  • Candidates will have to appear in all the shifts of Phase ll / Paper II & Ill examination.


(2) Eligibility Criteria :

a. Age (As on January 01, 2022): Between 21 and 30 years

b. Educational Qualification :
Officers in Grade 'B' (DR) - (General) :

Graduation in any discipline /Equivalent technical or professional qualification with minimum 60% marks (50% for SC/ST/PwBD applicants) or Post-Graduation / Equivalent technical qualification with minimum 55% marks (pass marks for SC/ST/PwBD applicants) in aggregate of all semesters / years.

Officers in Grade 'B' (DR) - DEPR :

A Master's Degree in Economics / Econometrics / Quantitative Economics / Mathematical Economics / Integrated Economics Course/ Finance, with a minimum of 55% marks or an equivalent grade in aggregate of all semesters /years from a recognised Indian or Foreign University /Institute; OR

PGDM/ MBA Finance with a minimum of 55% marks or an equivalent grade in aggregate of all semesters /years from a recognised Indian or Foreign University /Institute; OR

Master’s Degree in Economics in any of the sub-categories of economics i.e. agricultural/ business/ developmental/ applied, etc., with a minimum of 55% marks or an equivalent grade in aggregate of all semesters /years from a recognised Indian or Foreign University /Institute.

Officers in Grade 'B' (DR) - DSIM :

A Master's Degree in Statistics/ Mathematical Statistics/ Mathematical Economics/ Econometrics/ Statistics & Informatics from IIT-Kharagpur/ Applied Statistics & Informatics from IIT-Bombay with a minimum of 55% marks or equivalent grade in aggregate of all semesters / years; OR

Master's Degree in Mathematics with a minimum of 55% marks or an equivalent grade in aggregate of all semesters / years and one year post graduate diploma in Statistics or related subjects from an Institute of repute; OR

M. Stat. Degree of Indian Statistical Institute with a minimum of 55% marks in aggregate of all semesters / years; OR

Post Graduate Diploma in Business Analytics (PGDBA) jointly offered by ISI Kolkata, IIT Kharagpur and IIM Calcutta with a minimum of 55% marks or equivalent grade in aggregate of all semesters/years.


(3) Number of attempts: Candidates belonging to unreserved i.e. General Category, who had already appeared Six times for Phase-I Examination for this post in the past, are not eligible to apply. No such restriction applies to candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC/PWD, if the posts are reserved for them.


(4) Scheme of Selection:

(A) For Officers in Gr B (DR) - General :
Selection will be through ONLINE examinations and interviews. Examinations will be held in two phases

(I) Phase-I ON-LINE Examination (Objective Type):

Duration - 120 Minutes
Max Marks - 200
The objective paper comprises i) General Awareness ii) English Language iii) Quantitative Aptitude and iv) Reasoning.
Cut off marks :Cut off marks :Candidates have to secure minimum marks separately for each test as well as aggregate.Candidates, who secure minimum marks separately for each Test will be shortlisted for PhaPhase II the Examination based on the aggregate marks obtained in the Objective Test.

(II) Phase-II ON-LINE Examination: Paper II is Descriptive and Paper I and III are Objective] :

Paper pattern : Three Papers - 300 marks
Paper-I – Economic and Social Issues - 2 hours - 100 marks
Paper-II – English ( writing skills) – 1½ hours – 100 marks (Descriptive, to be typed with the help of the keyboard)
Paper-III - Finance & Management – 2 hours - 100 marks
Final Selection will be through a merit list which will be prepared by adding marks secured by candidates in Phase-II examination and interview.

(B) For Officers in Gr B (DR) – DEPR :
Selection will be through Onan line/ Written Examination (WE) and interviews. There are 3 papers for the Examination. Paper I Objective Type (on Economics) to be held on July 02, 2022 (Date to be confirmed in Admit Card) and Paper II & III will be held separately on August 06, 2022 (Date to be confirmed in Admit Card)

Paper I ObjectiveType (statistics) to be held on July 02, 2022 (Date to be confirmed in Admit Card) and Paper II & III will be held separately on August 06, 2022 (Date to be confirmed in Admit Card)

Candidates have to apply only online through the Bank's website i.e. www.rbi.org.in from March 28 - April 18, 2022 (till 6PM). No other means/mode of applications will be accepted.
