In the first week of Nov 2016 RBI had released the notification for recruitment to 610 posts of Assistants. It was mentioned in the notification that the selection process would comprise of two phase written examination and interview.

RBI has now decided not to conduct interviews for recruitment of Assistants. The selection of candidates shall be made on the basis of marks secured in the Phase II Main examination. However, the selected candidates will have to undergo a language proficiency test.

qualifying nature and only those candidates who qualify in the said test shall be appointed in the Bank.
