The tentative number of vacancies  announced were 6432 when the IBPS PO 2022 Notification was out in Aug 2022. This was the highest number of vacancies announced in the last many years.

Now, IBPS has released a notification, revising the vacancies to 8485, with Bank of Maharashtra announcing 500 posts, Central Bank of India announcing 1500 posts and Indian Overseas Bank announcing 53 posts, an increase of 2053  vacancies !! With two more Banks yet to report the vacancies, it appears that the total vacancies under IBPS PO 2022 will be the highest ever announced in the last decade !!
