The section-wise analysis is as below.

English - Reading Comprehensions:

Difficulty Level: Easy

Passages: Four passages covering topics like India USA relationship, Artificial Intelligence, Studies & Productivity, Corona & post effects

Question Types: Direct comprehension-based questions.

Overall Impression: The section was deemed easy, with questions directly answerable from the passages. Candidates found it manageable.

General Knowledge (GK):

  • Difficulty Level: Easy to Moderate with more questions related to Current Affairs as compared to Test 1.

  • Question Types: Direct Questions related to current affairs with some Static GK questions.

  • Topics Covered: Static GK topics such as Booker Prize, female Judge of SC, HO of ICJ, G20 Summit, British Colonial author, India Joint military exercise etc.

  • Overall Impression: Balance between Current Affairs and Static GK question is good. Questions were simple and generic, making the section manageable for most candidates.


Legal Reasoning:

  • Difficulty Level: Easy

  • Question Types: Fact-Principle based conventional questions from Torts, Contracts, and Crimes.

  • Topics Covered: Negligence, Vicarious liability, Agreements, Void-Voidable, Consideration, Breach of Contract, BNS, IPC, Constitution, Article 20, Double Jeopardy etc.

  • Overall Impression: The section was considered scoring, with questions focusing on fundamental legal principles that were relatively easy to comprehend.


Logical Reasoning:

  • Difficulty Level: Easy

  • Question Types: Blood Relations, Series to word formation, Alphabet Coding, Statement-Argument, Statement-Assumption, and Assertion.

  • Overall Impression: With mostly straightforward questions, candidates found this section manageable, albeit with a couple of tricky questions.


Analytical Reasoning:

  • Difficulty Level: Easy to Moderate

  • Question Types: Quantitative aptitude-based questions were there as it was in Test 1, with some questions on Data Interpretation (Bar graph etc) related to Percentage and PLD. One question of Venn-Diagram. Test 1 was slightly lengthy as compared to Test 2.

  • Topics Covered: Percentage, PLD, Venn-Diagram, Data Interpretation.

  • Overall Impression: Basic math knowledge was an advantage. Questions were deemed doable, making the section manageable for candidates with a good grasp of fundamental mathematical concepts.


Overall Impression:

  • The SLAT exam Test 2 presented a relatively easy paper, with sections like English, Legal Reasoning, Logical Reasoning, and Analytical Reasoning being manageable for most candidates.

  • The GK section is much more balanced as compared to Test 1 (Conducted on 5th May) with good mix of Current and Static GK. Also, it was not overly challenging, contributing to an overall positive experience for test-takers.

  • Based on the initial impressions, cutoffs are expected to be slightly higher compared to previous years due to the manageable nature of the paper.

 

The results are expected to be declared on 22nd May.
